Job Responsibilities:
- The Contract Project Manager has the responsibility to build modernized data centers infrastructure on time, budget, and scope
- Manage the data centers infrastructure set-up and migration by leading multiple teams of network, servers, SAN, Cloud, security, and external suppliers and vendors
- Manage the migration process, moving systems from within a data center into another data center and/or Cloud • Manage the decommission of the migrated-out data centers
- Manage the Change and Communication with all stakeholders (E.g. Infra team, application team, vendors, users) related to the data center and infrastructure modernization projects
- Has the end-to-end accountability of all the data center and infrastructure modernization activities • Act as the focal point of the whole data centers infrastructure build and migration project management lifecycle covering: Planning and scoping, Scheduling, Budget, Risk, Communication, Quality control, Testing, Commissioning, Documentation, Stakeholder engagement, Change, and, Postproject evaluation
- Requirement:
Attributes / Working Experience:
- Degree in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience
- Have experience in managing infrastructure and data center modernization projects with sizable scale. E.g. 50+ racks
- Have experience in preparing and building infrastructure for data centers relocation with data centers co-location vendors
- Have experience in planning and managing system migration between data centers
- Strong people and vendor management and communication skills
- Good understanding of security best practices
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
