- Responsible for researching, designing and supporting the development of the telecommunication network systems.
- Research and Analyzes voice network services, provides written documentation from deep understanding gained from research of 3GPP specifications, conference journals and technical research papers, makes appropriate recommendations, and provides technical consulting in systems and services.
- Assist in the research on the software and hardware components for 5G/6G network traffic simulations
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the systems are up-to-date with the latest industry standard and 3GPP specifications
- Research and design simulation scenarios and run network simulations to test new ideas and concepts for 5G/6G applications
- This role is expected to work with minimal instruction and has considerable latitude for independent action pertaining to the research and development for telecommunication systems.
- Research and develop prototypes by coding algorithms, designing solutions architecture and integrating hardware/software
- Write and present research proposals, technical design documents and system specifications
- Conduct research on the 3GPP standard to gain deep understanding of the specifications and requirement
- Requirement:
- University Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or Computer Science or related disciplines.
- Proficiency with network modelling tools like MATLAB, NS-3, OPNET, etc
- Approach problems logically through comprehensive research and analysis and and provides scientifically sound findings.
- Demonstrate ability to come up with innovative research ideas and execute experiments
- Excellence in writing academic papers and technical documents
- Ability to work independently, detailed oriented and as part of a team
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in Network Design & Optimization, deployment, and integration and over 7 years in designing and developing advanced telecommunication systems, preferrable with research experiences
- Strong Knowledge of 3gpp, 5G network standards
- Knowledge of current academic literature in wireless networking and telecom technologies
- Proven track records in J2EE-based application project delivery
- Experience in software development over Linux
- Experience in software development and coding in various languages including Java, C, C++, Python.
- Proficiency in Java EE including JSP, Servlet, JavaScript, XML, HTML5, JSON and EJB
- Experience with Linux environment and network test equipment
