    Marketing Research Consultant- Ref: 1020949
    Department: Data Solutions Department, Marketing Solutions Business

    Responsibilities:

    You’ll provide marketing research solutions using big data and Insight’s attitudinal data to clients such as:

    • Major manufacturers (food, beverages, daily goods)
    • Media companies and ad agencies
    • Research and consulting firms

    Key Tasks:

    1. Client Engagement & Proposal Development
      • Deepen relationships with existing departments and propose data products
      • Conduct outreach to new departments and introduce capabilities
      • Example proposals:
      • Online ad effectiveness measurement
      • Data integration between client and Insight
      • Profile analysis of owned media audiences
    2. Project Management
      • Oversee projects from order to delivery, billing, and follow-up
      • Collaborate with directors and researchers as project lead
      • Handle estimates, schedules, and client communications
      • Manage outsourcing costs, approvals, and billing tasks
    3. Operational Improvement & Value Creation
    • Streamline routine operations and strengthen team collaboration
    • Promote initiatives that enhance Insight’s value based on client needs

     

  • Requirement:

     Requirements Must-Have Skills:

    • 5+ years of B2B sales experience
    • Strong communication skills (clear, logical writing and speaking; ability to follow discussions)
    • Project management experience (regardless of project size)
    • Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint at beginner to intermediate level)

    Ideal Traits:

    • Proven success in intangible B2B sales
    • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
    • Determination to achieve goals
    • Ability to form hypotheses and execute PDCA cycles
    • Understanding of basic marketing frameworks (3C, 4P, STP)

    Nice-to-Have:

    • Experience in leadership, management, or mentoring
    • Experience conducting or supporting marketing research
    • Experience in data analysis projects
    • Business-level Japanese proficiency
